Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo – Mandalay

Day 01 Yangon arrival Meals ( D )
Welcome to Yangon, upon arrival at Yangon International airport, you will be greeted and assist by our friendly guide. Our first stop will visit Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha), and a photo-stop at Karaweik(a water bird from Indian Pre-history) which represents a fine work of traditional Myanmar architecture, proceed to downtown area for orientation of Yangon city’s popular attractions such as Independent monument in Mahabandoola park and it’s neighboring colonial heritage buildings. Move on to hotel for check in, and overnight in Yangon.
Day 02 Yangon – Golden Rock Pagoda(Kyaikhtiyo) Meals ( B / L / D )
Breakfast at hotel, depart for Bago, En-route stop at Htauk Kyan war memorial and move on to Bago for country famous Kha Khat Waing monastery to observe Buddhist monks and novices daily activities. After lunch continue to Mt. Kyaikhiyo (Golden Rock Pagoda). Arrive at Kin pun base camp, on board an open truck and continue up to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda pilgrimage site. The rock is completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of the cliff. Observe the mystical beauty of this sacred site. Overnight in Mt. Kyaikhtiyo.
Day 03 Kyaikhtiyo – Yangon
After breakfast, continue by road to Yangon. Visit Bogyoke Market which was built in 1920, wide choice of jeweleries, Jade, ruby, precious stone and Myanmar traditional clothes, souvenir, paintings and handicrafts are on sale. Next visit the magnificent Shwe Dagon Pagoda, over 2600 years old dome-like Buddhist shrine gilded with gold and encrusted with jewels, said to be the most revered Buddhist edifice in the world. Proceed to hotel for check in.
Day 04 Yangon – Mandalay Meals ( B / L / D )
After breakfast, transfer to airport to catch a flight bound for Mandalay. Mandalay was the last kingdom as well as the center of the Myanmar cultural, tradition, arts and crafts. Upon arrival, transfer to visit Mandalay’s most important religious structure, the Mahamuni Buddha image(Phayagyi or Great Pagoda). Move on to visit local workshops to observe how kalaga tapestries being made, marble being carved into Buddha images, and gold leaf being beaten into paper-thin pieces. Next visit beautiful Mandalay golden palace, Shwenandaw Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda, where houses “the world’s largest book” inscribed with the Theravada Buddhist scriptures on 729 marble slabs, evening drive up to Mandalay hill for a fantastic overview of the entire plain. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 05 Mandalay departure Meals ( B )
After breakfast, drive to Burmese’s former capital city “Amarapura” to visit Mahagandayon Monastery (home to several thousand of Buddhist navies and monks) and observe the lunch process, continue on to one of Myanmar most iconic sights, U Bein bridge, the teak bridge in traditional style, stretching over scenic Taungthaman Lake. Next, transfer to airport for your departure flight to complete this unique experience.
